Elimination Ceremony 9

Spoil, Andy, Andre, Bumble, and Lewis chased the white spirit through the dark Irish forest. All they could make out was a white figure that glowed in the darkness of the night. They burst into a clearing in the woods, the strange figure was nowhere to be seen.

"Where'd it go?!" yelled an exhausted Andy. The group of penguins were breathing heavy trying to catch their breath.

"We should have just stayed on the ship like Wii." Andre said followed by a sigh.

"Hey guys... come here!" yelled Spoil as she dashed through the clearing. The 4 others followed and once they reached the top of a deep slope they saw it.

It was an enormous mansion that looked like it had been long forgotten. "I bet it went in there!" Lewis slammed the door open and dashed in. The room was extremely dark. He tip-toed and felt his way around the old creaky building. Immediately he came to a halt when heard a faint noise. It was a rustling sound sort of like a plastic, but he could not exactly make it out. He sneaked closer to the sound and then slammed open a door that was in front of him.

There stood the figure, clutching a chocolate bar in its flipper, with its back turned to Lewis. It unwrapped the treat and threw the wrapper down on the ground.

Lewis lunged at the figure and tackled it to the ground.

"AHHH!" yelled a familiar voice.

The 4 others stormed into the room and gasped. Lewis was sitting on top of the so-called ghost. Lew ripped off the white blanket from the penguin.

"Hehe..." It was just Mat.

"Mat?!" said Lewis in an annoyed tone.

"You caught me! Congratulations Lewis!" Mat chuckled. He got up off the ground, "Guys, come with me, we need to get back to the ship." he said.

Lewis just stood there, he was confused. "Wait... I just won a challenge?!" he yelled with joy.

Mat nodded, chomping on his candy bar. The six penguins walked out of the ship and back through the forest to return to the cruise.

"Welcome, welcome... to the 9th elimination of the season." Peng said in a confident manor. The speakers around the deck were playing a faint beat. "In just a moment, we will have our final 5 semi-finalists revealed!"

Mat, Sand, and Guitar clapped, soon joined by the 6 contestants.

"What does it mean to be in the final 5 you may ask? It means that you have earned a spot in the CPSkool Hall of Fame! A place where only a few penguins have ever reached... Also, the final 5 marks the countdown to the finals! This is it people!" Peng was setting the mood even more nervous and anxious than ever before. He was right, being in the Hall of Fame is an honor only few have ever claimed.

"Lewis, being the challenge winner, you are obviously safe! Congratulations!"

Everyone on board clapped for Lew. Anytime someone wins immunity for themselves they deserve credit and recognition... Especially in the final stages of the competition! The further someone gets into a competition the stronger the pressure gets.

"Lewis... joining you in the final 5 is...." Peng paused and looked at the other faces through his sunglasses. "Bumble! Congratulations!"

Bumble jumped up and down in her seat. "Thank you!" she yelled to the hosts.

"Don't thank us, thank the other competitors!" said Mat behind a laugh.

"Next person in the semi-finals is... Andre!"

Andre gladly nodded his head, he patted Lewis and Bumble, who were sitting in front of him, on the back.

Spoil, Andy, and Wii clapped... but they were getting increasingly nervous by the second. One of the three of them will NOT be in the semi-finals and will sadly miss out on the hall of fame.

"Andy...." Peng said slowly.

Andy was zoned in on Peng. The whole world slowed down and every second of silence was like forever.

"You and Spoil were both voted for... Wii, you are safe!" Peng said, he clapped again.

Andy's beak dropped open, he thought that he was about to be announced safe. He reached over Spoil and gave Wii a high-five, trying not to tremble in the process.

It was between Spoil and Andy.

The atmosphere around them went from a celebration to a feeling of remorse. They have all been together on this adventure for 3 months... They are about as close as family and one of them was about to be sent home...

"Andy, you have fought very hard this season... You have proved to be a fighter in challenges and you have shown up each and every week with nothing less but pure dedication." Peng said.

Andy nodded at the statement.

"Spoil... you too have earned your way here. Some may have under-estimated you early on but look at you now. You too have proved that you are a force to be reckoned with in challenges... and everyone can tell that you want to be here very badly." Peng said.

Spoil began to tear up. Andy put his arm around her and they clutched each other's flippers. This is all a competition but they've bonded more and more with each week that has passed...

"The person... with the highest number of votes... is...." Peng closed his eyes.

Mat began to tear up... He cared for Andy and Spoil very much... The fact is that everyone in the competition has truly fought their way to get there.

Andy.

or Spoil.

12 weeks have passed in this competition and for one of them...

... it will be over.

...

...

...

"I am so sorry..."

"but Spoil... you have been eliminated from CPSkool Forever." Peng said. He closed his eyes and looked down at the stage floor.

The contestants embraced Spoil in a tight group hug. She silently cried to herself.

Mat and Peng entered the small group and both gave Spoil a hug. Mat patted her head when he hugged her. "It's okay Spoil... be proud of yourself. Look how far you have come!"

The final 5 slowly began clapping, Mat and Peng backed up and they too began clapping for her. She wiped away her tears and cracked a half-way smile at this kind gesture.

Within the next 10 minutes, the helicopter landed and Spoil boarded it slowly with her bag. Everyone stood in a group together and waved good bye to their dear friend as it began to take flight with her inside. They watched as it slowly vanished in the distant sunset.

The final 5 and the 4 hosts stood there in silence. A cool wind blew across the deck.

Peng turned to Mat. "I can't believe it's almost over..." he said slowly.

Mat looked sadly at the ground below him.

"Congratulations to the final 5..." he whispered to himself.
