Elimination Ceremony 10

Lewis, Andy, and Wii spent the rest of the day touring the streets of Italy. They walked down the streets crammed with dozens of buildings, ate a nice Italian lunch, and visited an art museum in which Lewis's painting was newly displayed.

Back on the ship, Bumble and Andre laid in bed seasick, and Mat and Peng began preparation for the season's 10th elimination ceremony...

"I can't believe we are almost there Mat..." Peng said softly to him. Peng was setting up the lights, like always, and made sure they were at the right angle on the stage.

Mat sighed. "I know... after tonight we will be at the final 4... It's so hard to believe this season that we have put so much time and work into is almost finished." Mat hooked the stage speakers up and then sat down on the stage. He buried his face into his flippers and gazed up at the cool blue sky.

"It's almost over..." he thought to himself.

He hopped back up and stared out onto the sunset with Sand, Guitar, and Peng.

"Welcome, for the 10th time this season, to the elimination ceremony.... before we get to the results I want to have a moment of silence to reflect on the season and remember all 9 of your previous competitors who are not with us at this time." Peng put the mic down, looked down at the wooden stage floor he was standing on, and closed his eyes.

The contestants all did the same, emotions beginning to stir inside of them. This season has been going by so fast and it was nice to take a minute to reflect on everything that has happened. It was almost like slamming the breaks when you are driving 120 miles per hour, this season has been going by so fast.

"Okay guys, like always... when I call your name you are safe. Now, Lewis, as challenge winner yet again you are immune from elimination." Peng said with a smile.

The contestants clapped for him. He gave a sort of fist pump as he bit his lip. Of course Lewis was happy, but there are only 4 people up for elimination and they have all gone on this journey together.... No matter who got eliminated it was going to be the toughest elimination yet.

"Wii... You received 0 votes this week... you are joining Lewis in the Final 4, congratulations!" Peng said.

The contestants clapped for him as well. "Good job Wii." whispered Andy from behind. Wii too has fought his way to the Final 4. He and Lewis have both won 2 post-merge challenges each... they did deserve to be there.

"Bumble... Andy... Andre... the 3 of you are all amazing competitors. This season would not have been the same if any of the 3 of you had not joined." Peng said.

"Congratulations to..." he paused.

Pressure was building up inside the 3 penguins. They felt a massive lump in their throats and breathing normally was completely impossible.

"Bumble! You too have not received any votes this week!" Peng stated.

The contestants clapped for her too. Bumble was very relieved. She's been trying to accomplish this dream for a very, very long time. She is finally so close to victory that she can practically taste it.

"Andre... Andy... you both received the most votes." Peng's voice was heavy, you could tell he did not want either of them to be eliminated.

Andy and Andre both gave each other a glare. They have both been allies since the beginning... but the Final 5 always reveals where true loyalties lie.

"I regretfully have to announce that the 10th person eliminated from CPSkool Forever and the 5th member of the jury is..."

Andy's face went pale, he looked down at the ground. He was so nervous and upset inside that he felt as if his stomach was about to burst.

Andre broke out in a sweat and wiped his forehead with his flipper.

The wait. Not knowing your own fate was excruciatingly painful.

Andre...

or Andy...

Over 3 months has lead to this very moment.

One was going to the Final 4 and the other... it will all end for them.

...

...

"I am so sorry, but..."

"Andy... you received 3/5 of the votes and will be leaving us." Peng said slowly.

Andre looked over at Andy.

Andy's arms got heavy and he slouched down in the stands. It was all over for him... He didn't know how to react. It was like the world had stopped spinning and everything that had occurred in the last 13 weeks was quickly flashing through his mind.

Mat stood up and began clapping, he was followed by Peng, then Sand and GK, then the 4 other contestants.

"Congratulations on 5th place Andy!" yelled Andre enthusiastically.

Andy leaned up and put his arms around Wii, giving his Australian friend a massive hug. Bumble, Andre, and Lewis joined in yet another group hug. It was noticeable that the group hug was getting smaller and smaller with each week that passed by.

About 10 minutes later Andy was back on the pool deck with his bags. He was proud of himself for making it to the Final 5... but with that comes great disappointment. He wanted to go all the way.

Mat approached him and gave him a hug. "I am so sorry Andy... I know how bad you wanted this..." he said behind a frail voice, trying to swallow tears.

A tear fell from Andy's eye too, but he cleared his throat and tried to brush the feeling off.

"You played a great game Andy." said Andre. He came up behind Andy and placed a flipper on his shoulder.

Andy gave another round of hugs to all of the penguins on board, climbed on the helicopter, and waving good-bye as he flew out of sight and off into the sunset.

The final 4, plus the 4 hosts, stood at the railing and watched the helicopter fly off with their dear friend.

The ship jerked in motion and pulled out of Italy's dock.

"Next destination... home." Peng announced.

Congratulations Andy, you have now taken the 5th slot on the CPSkool Forever jury! You along with Spoil, Drake, Powder, Lion, and 2 more contestants will have a part in declaring the winner of Season 5!

Andy did lose the competition, but he absolutely did not leave empty-handed. The memories and friendships he has made this season will carry on with him for the rest of his life.

As we say good-bye to a great friend, competitor, and over-all person within Andy, we are getting closer to the end of this ride.

The winner of season 5 will be one of these 4 people!
