S5C6 - Passin' the Time...

Powder chomped down on some chips that Spoil passed to her as the clock slowly ticked. Andre stole the bag from her and shared it with Lew, who in turn shared with Wii and Drake. Andy ended up taking the whole thing for himself. Lion gave him a black eye and poured the rest of the bag into her mouth. Bumble sat quietly, depressed that no one shared with her. This drive for competition let all of the contestants forget that there is a snack bar on the 3rd deck that's open 24/7...

"All contestants please report to the study hall in the eastern wing of the ship." said a familiar voice over the intercom.

The 9 players scurried their way to the opposite end of the ship, and came into the large dormitory. This is one of the many rooms on the ship that some of the contestants haven't put much thought into.

In the room were 9 desks that were spread apart, each with a paper consisting of various puzzles. This was something to do to pass the time until the security breach was figured out.

"I guess we have to solve these mazes?" Wii questioned, staring at the puzzle book on his desk.

Everyone awkwardly nodded, and went to the desks and started working on it.

This week, I just want all 9 contestants to know how proud I am. Everyone showed up and everyone put forth 100% effort! Congratulations everyone, I am truly happy for everyone who came today... Now lets get to the results.

The contestants had to compete in an XAT game called "mazeban." In this game they had to control a smiley face through a black and white maze to the finish line. The difficulty of the maze is based on how many hours you set it at.

The contestants who finished their maze in the shortest times each round continued in the challenge. For the first 2 rounds we eliminated the 2 contestants with the lowest scores, after that we eliminated 1 at a time.

Round 1: 10 hours.

Boys:

Wii- 10

Andy- 13

Andre- 5

Lewis- 16

Drake- 10

Girls:

Lion- 23

Spoil- 13

Bumble- 13

*Powder- 0

Lewis and Lion had the longest times, and were eliminated round 1.

*Powder had technical difficulties, in which XAT did not allow her to play the game, because of this we removed her from the challenge. We are still giving her credit for showing up, because this was not her fault.

Round 2: 25 hours.

Boys:

Wii- 37

Andy- 17

Andre- 12

Drake- 36

Girls:

Spoil- 19

Bumble- 20

Drake and Wii had the longest times, and were the 2 to fall out of the challenge during round 2.

Starting at round 3, we only eliminated one contestant per round.

Round 3: 40 hours.

Boys:

Andy- 24

Andre- 22

Girls:

Spoil- 23

*Bumble- 20

Andy had the lowest time by 1 second, wow! This round was easily the closest round of the challenge.

*Because Bumble completed 2 mazes with a score of 20, she was the only contestant to win the 2 tickets for earning the same score twice!

Round 4: 50 hours.

Boys:

Andre- 23

Girls:

Spoil- 31

Bumble- 23

Because Spoil got the lowest score, she was eliminated... leaving 1 boy and 1 girl to compete in the final round, yikes!

Round 5: 100 hours.

Due to technical difficulties, this round did not play out as planned. The 2 remaining contestants were to beat the 100 hour mazeban as soon as possible. We did not plan on basing the win off of the lowest score this time, instead on who finished the challenge first.

Bumble was at the very end of her maze when XAT glitched on her and did not allow her to complete it. Because Bumble would have won if not for the glitch, Andre gave the win to Bumble meaning...

Congratulations to Bumble and the girls!

TL;DR

• Bumble has earned all 7 tickets! 5 for winning, 1 for coming, 2 for getting the same score twice.
• Spoil, Lion, Powder, Lewis, Drake, Andre, Wii, and Andy have earned 1 ticket each.

It is time for the 1st twist of the season!

You didn't think things would stay the same all season did you?

Because the girls won this challenge, they were faced with a major decision... They could choose to either vote back a previously eliminated contestant to join their team or choose to each take 4 tickets to add to their bank accounts!

The girls had the option to bring back:

• Owl1096 - eliminated week 1
• Abby - eliminated week 2
• Andreia - eliminated week 3
• PS2 - eliminated week 4
• or Hannah - eliminated week 5

However... they chose the tickets instead. This means that each of the girls have earned themselves 4 extra tickets.

Was this the right choice? Or will they regret it later on down the road? Only time will tell...
